Cookie policy

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device. We deliberately keep things light: we use only functional cookies needed to run the site, plus Google Analytics to see how the site is used. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies. This policy goes together with our privacy policy.

Consent

When you first visit the site, we ask for your consent through Cookiebot, our consent tool. Cookiebot automatically blocks non-essential cookies, such as Google Analytics, until you accept them. Functional cookies are always present, because the site does not work properly without them. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time. Cookiebot is a European service (Cybot A/S, Denmark).

Which cookies we use

Functional and necessary. First-party cookies required for basic operation. No consent is needed for these.

  • CookieConsent (Cookiebot): remembers your consent choice, so we do not show the notice on every visit. Lifetime up to 12 months.
  • Your language choice (Dutch or English), so the site opens in your language. Lifetime up to 12 months.

Analytics. Google Analytics, set by Google, to track anonymously how visitors use the site. Loaded only after your consent.

  • _ga: distinguishes visitors from one another. Lifetime up to 2 years.
  • _ga_*: keeps the session state for Google Analytics 4. Lifetime up to 2 years.

Third-party cookies

Google Analytics is the only third-party service that sets cookies through our site. Google may process data outside the EU. This happens under appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. IP addresses are anonymised by default in Google Analytics 4. Managing or deleting cookies

You can withdraw your consent through the Cookiebot icon on the site. You can also manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings, and you can opt out of analytics with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Note that disabling functional cookies may affect how the site works.

Changes

If we add a cookie later or change our choices, we update this policy. The date at the top of this page marks the latest version.
