App development
App development for iOS, Android and web
Mobile and web apps, from the first working version to the stores. We settle where your users actually work before we pick the technology. Fixed price up front, and the code stays yours.
- Live on iOS & Android
- Fixed price up front
- You own 100% of the code

In short
App development starts with the question of where the work actually happens: on a phone in the field, on a tablet on site, or on a screen at a desk. Only then do we choose native, cross-platform or a web app. You get a fixed price agreed up front, a first working version you can hand to real users, and the full source code.
What gets in the way
Most companies that ask for an app do not need two separate native apps. They need one place where the work gets done without anything being retyped afterwards. So we start with the device and the situation: a phone on the road, a tablet inside a house, or a screen at a desk. Only after that do we choose native, cross-platform or a web app. For Quantum Life that became one Flutter codebase on iOS and Android, with offline playback and push notifications. We built that product together with development partner Aery. For Peters Bouwadvies it became a tablet-first React app, where the same codebase carries the inspection on site and the review back at the office with no export step in between. If a web app in the browser will do, you will hear it from us. We listen first to what you want to achieve now and where you are heading, then pick the technology to match.
Native, cross-platform or web app
Three app developers, three opinions, and the most expensive option always sounds the most convincing. You want to know which choice fits your users before a line of code gets written, not after.
The work happens outside the office
You scribble something on a notepad while you are out, or just keep it in your head, then type it up at a desk that evening anyway. That is the same work twice. It caps how many clients you can take on in a week.
The app sits apart from your systems
An app that keeps its own data and talks to nothing else hands you a second administration. Whatever goes in has to end up automatically in the tools you already run.
Going live is not the finish line
An app that stands still for a year crashes on the first new phone it meets, or disappears from the store. Apple and Google keep moving their requirements and someone has to track that. The only question is who.
What we build
How we help
The device first, then the technology
We look at where your users are and what they do there: on the road, on site or at a desk. That decides whether it becomes a native app, one cross-platform codebase for iOS and Android, or simply a web app in the browser. The choice is settled before we build, not halfway through.
App, backend and integrations in one project
An app is the visible part. We build the backend underneath it too, plus the API integrations to the systems you already use, storage that survives a dropped connection, offline use and push notifications. For Quantum Life that included heavy media processing: secure upload, conversion to mobile formats and caching for smooth playback.
Screens for the situation, not for the demo
Design and interaction follow the context the app is used in. At Peters Bouwadvies the inspector records a finding by tapping through a customisable library of standardised texts, because a tablet keyboard is simply too slow in the middle of an inspection.
Publishing in the App Store and Play Store
We build the releases, put together the store listing and the screenshots, and steer the app through Apple and Google review. That happens on developer accounts registered in your name. After that, updates go out as numbered releases, with crash monitoring and product analytics on top so you see where people get stuck.
Maintenance after launch, optional
New iOS and Android versions, changed store requirements and further development on the same codebase. You can leave that with us or pick it up yourself, because you hold the code and the documentation. It is never mandatory.

Our approach
From idea to working software in four phases
Every project runs through the same four phases, so you always know what's happening, what comes next and what it costs — from first call to live software, usually in weeks rather than months.
- 01Phase 1Free intake
Understand & analyse
Everything starts with a good conversation. We map your goals, processes and the bottlenecks worth solving — no sales pitch, just an honest read on where the biggest win sits.

- 02Phase 2Free blueprint
Blueprint & quote
We turn the analysis into a blueprint: a clear plan showing exactly which steps we'll take and why, paired with one fixed quote. You know up front precisely what we build, what it costs and when it's done — no open ends, no hourly billing, no surprises afterwards. And getting that blueprint is completely free, no obligation.

- 03Phase 3Prototype in days
Build, test & deploy
Then we build, in short iterations. You see a working prototype in days and a finished product in weeks. We work on a modern, AI-native and secure stack — with data protection and GDPR in mind from day one.

- 04Phase 4100% your code
Implement & optimise
We launch, hand over the full codebase and keep improving on your terms. You get 100% ownership of the code we write — no lock-in, no licensing games. Hosting and maintenance are optional, never required.

What you always get
Fixed price
Agreed up front, never an open end.
100% code ownership
Your code, fully yours, no lock-in.
Live in weeks
Prototypes in days, finished in weeks.
Modern & secure
A scalable stack that always integrates with the latest tech. Secured by our in-house cybersecurity experts.
Tools & tech
We build on the technology that fits you best. Already working with a certain stack — whether that's .NET, PHP or something else — we simply build on it. Starting fresh? We draw on years of experience to pick the technology that's strongest for your situation. No forced migrations, no tech for tech's sake.
What you get
- A working app you can hand to real users, not a clickable demo
- The full source code with technical documentation and a clean handover
- Publication in the App Store and Play Store on developer accounts that are yours
- Integrations through APIs with the systems and data you already run
- A fixed price agreed up front, no open ends
- Optional maintenance after launch: OS updates, store requirements and further development
Our promise
Your software stays yours
- Full code ownershipThe full source code is and stays yours, documented and ready to hand over.
- No vendor lock-inStop working with us and your system keeps running. Any developer can pick it up.
- Fixed price up frontYou get a no-obligation blueprint and quote up front: no open-ended billing and no surprises afterwards.
- Security in every layerWe build security-by-design, with a specialist in-house.
Frequently asked questions
Native, cross-platform or web app: how do you choose?
We look first at where and how the app gets used. If it has to work offline, send push notifications or use the camera, you want it installed on the device. That is why Quantum Life is one Flutter codebase on iOS and Android. If there is always a connection and people work on a tablet or laptop, a web app is often enough. And we will say so.
Does the app work without an internet connection?
It can, and for a lot of apps that is the whole point. For Quantum Life we built, together with development partner Aery, offline playback plus saves that survive a dropped connection, with caching for smooth playback. If what was captured locally also has to travel back to the server once the connection returns, we build that sync on top. How far you take that we decide together, because working fully offline costs more build time than handling the occasional flaky signal.
Do you handle publication in the app stores as well?
Yes. We build the releases, take care of the store listing and the screenshots, and guide the app through Apple and Google review. Expect a first submission to come back rejected now and then, for something like a missing privacy policy, a permission explained too thinly or a test account the reviewer cannot get into. We fix it and resubmit. After launch, updates go out as numbered releases, with crash monitoring on top so you see when something breaks.
How does the app talk to our existing systems?
Through the backend we build underneath it. The app never knocks on your packages directly, it talks to an API layer of its own, and that layer handles the integrations, the permissions and the synchronisation. On a phone that last part is the real work: a device goes offline, two people edit the same record, and the app has to know which version wins. At Peters Bouwadvies the same codebase runs on site and at the office, so a finding recorded in a hallway is the record that gets reviewed back at the desk.
Whose name do the app and the store accounts sit under?
Yours, both of them. We register the Apple and Google developer accounts under your company name from the start, along with the signing certificates and the store listing itself. An app parked in our account is not really yours in practice: moving it to another party would have to go through us. The same goes for the source code, which you get in full, with technical documentation and a handover.
What happens after launch with OS updates and store requirements?
Maintenance on an app is more concrete than it sounds. It means lifting the iOS and Android SDKs to a new major, rebuilding against the target version Apple and Google require at that moment, renewing expired certificates, and updating the privacy labels in the store whenever something about the data flows changes. We can take that block on and fold further development into small releases. Prefer to do it yourself or with your own team? That works too, because you already hold the code and the documentation.
