What gets in the way

A lot of brand identities die in a folder. A nice logo, a few colours, a PDF, and then the developer does something else with it because it doesn't quite fit in code. We work the other way around. We design your identity from two sides at once: from your brand (what you stand for, who you want to attract) and from how it gets used (what it looks like on a button, in an app screen, on a phone). Logo, colour, typography and photography belong together, so we treat them as one system instead of loose images. And because the same team then builds the site or product, we know for sure the identity holds up in practice, not just on paper. At De Bungelaer a luxury identity (deep blue, gold accents, large typography) carried a trilingual site. At Quantum Life one dark, energetic style runs from the app through to the website. What does a brand identity or logo cost?

It depends on the scope: just a logo and a basic style is a smaller job than a full identity with a style guide and roll-out into your product. We agree the price up front, before we start, so you have no open end. Tell us what you need and we will work out a concrete figure for you.

Do you design from scratch or do a refresh too?

Both. Sometimes we build an identity from the ground up, sometimes you already have a logo and colours that work and we want to freshen them up and make them consistent, not throw them out. We always start by listening to what is already there and what feels right about your brand, and build on that instead of redoing it for the sake of it.

Do I get a style guide and the source files?
