In short

AI strategy means working out where AI actually earns its keep in your business before you build anything. We scan your processes, give an honest build-or-skip call on each opportunity, and deliver a prioritised roadmap. We advise from what we built ourselves: Planit's RAG over 18,429 documents and Simply's agentic AI platform. Often it starts with a small proof of concept on your own data.

What gets in the way

AI is everywhere, but most companies have no idea where to start. One vendor shouts that an agent can do anything, the next sells you a dashboard nobody opens. And you're left with the real question: where does this actually earn us something. That's what we sort out. We look at your processes, not at what's trending, and find the spots where AI demonstrably saves time or money. Just as important: we tell you where it isn't needed. What sets us apart from most advisers is that we build this ourselves. We made Planit's RAG pipeline and Simply's agentic AI platform. So we advise from what actually works in production. We think along with you: we listen first to what you want to achieve now and where you are heading, then choose the technology to match, for the most scalable and powerful result that is cost-efficient at the same time.

AI hype, but unclear ROI

Everyone says you have to do something with AI, but nobody tells you what it returns. You hear stories, not numbers. We start from the business case: where is the recurring work, how many hours does it cost, and does AI return enough there to justify the build. At Planit it turned out around 40% of daily consultant work could be automated.

You don't know where to start

You've got ten ideas and no idea which comes first. Or you've got none and you know you're missing something. A prioritised roadmap makes that concrete: what first, what later, what never. We rank by impact and feasibility, not by what sounds most exciting.

The risk of building the wrong thing

The biggest risk isn't that AI fails, it's that you sink months into something that misses the problem. That's why we often advise a small proof of concept first. You see it work on real data before you free up the big budget.

Compliance worries: the AI Act and GDPR

You can't just do anything with client and candidate data. The AI Act and GDPR set requirements, and you don't want to hear afterwards that it wasn't allowed. We fold that into the advice from the ground up. At Simply we built the whole back office to ISO 27001 level, so we know how to handle sensitive data safely and properly.

What we build

How we help

An AI opportunity scan of your processes

We walk through your processes and find the spots where AI genuinely earns its keep: where the repetitive work sits, where time disappears into retyping or searching through data. Think of manually digging through a large archive, work that with the right approach now takes seconds. We map those opportunities concretely, with an estimate of what each one is worth.

An honest build-or-skip call

For each opportunity we say plainly whether it's worth it. Sometimes the answer is: build it, there's real time to win here. Sometimes it's: an off-the-shelf tool does this, just buy that. And sometimes: don't do this, the business case doesn't add up. We've no stake in making the project as big as possible, only in advice you can actually use.

A prioritised roadmap

We order the opportunities by impact and feasibility: what returns the most for the least effort goes first. You get a plan you can run step by step, with yourself or with us, without having to take everything on at once. A roadmap that respects your budget and your team.

A small proof of concept

Before you commit big, we often build a small, working piece on your own data first. That's how you see a RAG chat work before the full pipeline goes live. A proof of concept takes out the biggest risk: you know whether it works before you free up the real budget.

Advice grounded in what we built ourselves

This isn't consultancy that draws pictures and then leaves. We build RAG pipelines, agentic AI platforms and content pipelines ourselves. So when we say something can or can't be done, it comes from practice: from code running in production, not from a report.

Our approach

From idea to working software in four phases

Every project runs through the same four phases, so you always know what's happening, what comes next and what it costs — from first call to live software, usually in weeks rather than months.

  1. 01
    Phase 1 Free intake

    Understand & analyse

Everything starts with a good conversation. We map your goals, processes and the bottlenecks worth solving — no sales pitch, just an honest read on where the biggest win sits.

Bare rock — the starting point before anything grows
  2. 02
    Phase 2 Free blueprint

    Blueprint & quote

We turn the analysis into a blueprint: a clear plan showing exactly which steps we'll take and why, paired with one fixed quote. You know up front precisely what we build, what it costs and when it's done — no open ends, no hourly billing, no surprises afterwards. And getting that blueprint is completely free, no obligation.

First grasses taking root on the rock
  3. 03
    Phase 3 Prototype in days

    Build, test & deploy

Then we build, in short iterations. You see a working prototype in days and a finished product in weeks. We work on a modern, AI-native and secure stack — with data protection and GDPR in mind from day one.

Grass and the first blue flowers emerging
  4. 04
    Phase 4 100% your code

    Implement & optimise

We launch, hand over the full codebase and keep improving on your terms. You get 100% ownership of the code we write — no lock-in, no licensing games. Hosting and maintenance are optional, never required.

A rock in full bloom — grasses, daisies and wildflowers

What you always get

Fixed price

Agreed up front, never an open end.

100% code ownership

Your code, fully yours, no lock-in.

Live in weeks

Prototypes in days, finished in weeks.

Modern & secure

A scalable stack that always integrates with the latest tech. Secured by our in-house cybersecurity experts.

Tools & tech

We're not tied to one model or platform. We pick the AI approach that fits your data, budget and goal — an off-the-shelf model, a custom pipeline, or a mix — and we're honest when simpler tech does the job just as well. No hype, no lock-in.

Frequently asked questions

What does an AI strategy engagement cost?

It depends on how deep you want to go, but you always get a fixed price agreed upfront. A scan with a prioritised roadmap is a matter of a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on how many processes we review. Want a small proof of concept on top, then that's added as a separate, pre-agreed step. No hourly billing that runs on forever: you know where you stand from the start.

How long until I have a plan?

We usually deliver an opportunity scan with a roadmap within a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on how many processes are involved and how well we can see into them. We work concretely: at the end you don't get a vague report but a list of opportunities in order, each with a clear recommendation. Any proof of concept we schedule separately afterwards.

Who owns the advice and the roadmap?

You do. The advice, the roadmap and the business cases are yours, and you can run them with your own team or another party. No vendor lock-in: we don't lock you in. If we then build a proof of concept or the real system, that code is just as much yours, in your own environment.

Does AI strategy replace my people or my decisions?

No. A strategy doesn't make decisions for you, it makes them better informed. We map the opportunities and the risks; you decide what to do. And if we later build something, the principle is the same as in all our work: people do the judgement, the system does the repetition. At Planit, consultants still make the planning calls; the AI just finds the precedents faster.

Is AI honestly needed here, or are you just selling AI?

Honesty is exactly the point. In plenty of cases the answer is 'no, just use automation or an off-the-shelf tool', and then we say so. We've no stake in the biggest possible AI project. We only put AI on the table where it demonstrably returns more than a simpler solution would, like making Planit's archive searchable, where ordinary search fell short.

Why advice from you and not a classic consultancy?

Because we build what we advise. Most AI advisers draw a plan and are gone before a line of code is written. We brought Planit's RAG, Simply's agentic AI platform and the BBS content pipeline into production ourselves. So our advice comes from practice: we know what a proof of concept costs, where projects stall and what AI can and can't do, because we've done it ourselves.
